GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL CELEBRATED ‘VALENTINES DAY’:-
Valentine’s day is a time to celebrate love & friendship & the joy of having other people in your life. It’s a day of flowers, candy, & cards decorated with hearts. To understand this day better, GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow celebrated this special day virtually with the children.
Students of Pre Nursery and Nursery made a heart cap out of a paper plate. They then decorated the cap by finger painting and gifted it to their loved ones. Students of K.G. did a worksheet on which they had to write about all the things they love to do inside a shape of a heart. They were really thrilled to do the activity. Students of Grade I and II made a heart map. They wrote their innermost feelings in that heart like whom do they consider as their hero and why? What is that which makes them happy or scared? Teachers were amazed and delighted to hear the way children had poured their hearts out on a piece of paper.
Teachers made them aware of the story behind why do we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Teachers also explained to the students how they should always be kind to everyone and spread the love around them.
