Good Friday Christian holiday

Good Friday Christian holiday:

Good Friday Christian holiday is a Christian holiday, commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at the cavalry. It is observed during the holy week as a part of Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday. Wishing you a blessed Good Friday!

According to the Bible, the son of God was flogged, ordered to carry the cross on which he would be crucified and then put to death. It’s difficult to see what is “good” about it.

The date of Good Friday varies from one year to the calendars. Eastern and Western Christianity disagree over the computation of the date of Easter and therefore of Good Friday. Good Friday is a widely instituted legal holiday around the world, including in most Western countries.

As early as the first century, the Church set aside every Friday as a special day of prayer and fasting. It was not until the fourth century, however, that the Church began observing the Friday before Easter as the day associated with the crucifixion of Christ. First called Holy or Great Friday by the Greek Church, the name “Good Friday” was adopted by the Roman Church around the sixth or seventh century.
