Inter House-Word Power Competition at GD Goenka Cambridge School:-

The Cambridge Section of GD Goenka School conducted an Inter House ‘Word Power Competition’ on 19 August 2023 in the Activity Arena. The event aimed to nurture language skills and vocabulary while providing a platform for students to exhibit their spelling acumen. Students from Lower Secondary participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The competition featured multiple rounds tailored to challenge participants’ spelling abilities. Divided into different categories, the event ensured equitable participation and allowed students of different ages to showcase their talents. Participants underwent a written spelling test encompassing a range of difficult words. The objective was to shortlist candidates for subsequent rounds, with words catering to diverse skill levels.

Finalists from each house competed in the four rounds: ‘Written Round’, ‘Pronounce it Right’, ‘Idiom Puzzle’, and ‘Guess It Right’. Students’ active participation demonstrated their dedication to honing their linguistic skills and their willingness to engage in healthy competition.
