GD Goenka organized inter-house group singing competition. ‘Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it.’
Reading through books is not the only medium of learning but fun-filled activities and competitions enhance the learning process. Keeping this in mind, an Inter-House Group Singing Competition on the theme ‘Patriotism’ was organized at G.D. Goenka Public School on 30th August 2018.
Patriotism:
‘I believe patriotism comes from the heart. Patriotism is voluntary. It is a feeling of loyalty and allegiance that is the result of knowledge and belief.’
Students of classes six, seven and eight took part in the competition. The response was encouraging and overwhelming. The enthusiasm of the students was endless. Participants of Tagore House presented the song, ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaaye Ja’ from the movie, ‘Samadhi’. Their performance was praiseworthy. This was followed by the song ‘Bharat Humko Jaan se Pyaara Hai’ from the movie, ‘Roja’ presented by the students of Radhakrishnan House. After their dynamic performance, students of Vivekananda House presented the song, ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh’, from the movie ‘Diljale’. Last but not the least, participants from Teresa House sang ‘Kandhon Se Kandhe Milte Hain’ from the movie, ‘Lakshya’.

Keeping this in mind, an Inter-House Group Singing Competition on the theme ‘Patriotism’Children sang with remarkable melody, rhythm and a lot of confidence, giving a tough time to the judges to declare the winners. The entries were judged on Clarity, Rhythm, Harmony, Tone
and Overall presentation.
Congratulation to Winner:
The first prize was bagged by Radhakrishnan House. Tagore House stood second whereas Teresa House secured the third position.
All the participants put their best foot forward to win the competition. It was an enjoyable experience for the participants and an enriching experience for the audience.
