GD GOENKA CELEBRATES REPUBLIC DAY:-

Republic Day of India has been celebrated annually on January 26, 1950. It is celebrated all over India to honour and remember the date on which our Indian Constitution came into force. Republic Day was celebrated by young Goenkans with full zeal in GD Goenka Public School, Lucknow. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the school Chairman Mr. Sarvesh Goel. The school Principal Dr. Prerna Mitra was also present during the ceremony and addressed the students. After the flag hoisting, everyone sang the National Anthem – Jana, Gana, Mana with a proud heart. Exciting activities were planned for children of all classes. The teachers discussed why we celebrate this day and its significance to the children. The students per- formed March Past. Each class represented a national symbol. The children of Pre-Nursery made the national flower – Lotus and very proudly carried it in the march past. The children of class KG made a colourful peacock – the National bird. Class, I students made our national tree – Banyan. Class II children made our national aquatic animal – Dolphin. Every student proudly carried their national symbol. It was an unforgettable moment for them. In the senior classes, debates, and discussions were held and children were oriented about the significance of this day through PPTs. The students pledged to make their country peaceful and beautiful.
