With this enriching idea, the students of GD Goenka Public School Lucknow, celebrated ‘Thanks Giving Day’ on 22 November 2023 by thanking each and everyone around us for the help they provided.
‘Thanksgiving’ means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you have been given.
Our tiny tots of Pre-Primary celebrated this day by performing various activities. Toddlers and Pre-nursery children expressed their gratitude towards people around them by making turkey birds with feathers by gluing googly eyes onto the turkey’s face to give it a playful appearance.
Nursery children expressed their feelings by making turkey handprints as a symbol of gratitude. Kindergarten students expressed their feelings by making thank you cards as a symbol of gratitude towards the environment. Grade 1 & 2 hung their Thanksgiving messages on the gratitude tree.
